Project in Brief
- Buildings under construction:
There are now many buildings under construction, several of which are undergoing structural work, including additional tie beams (bracing beams). The super structure for some is now complete and wall installation has begun. One building is awaiting further work due to the obstruction to other structures and two buildings are awaiting soil protection work. - Construction work after COVID-19 control measures were eased:
The construction team forged ahead as soon as COVID-19 control measures were eased. We have seen good progress, which will continue in July. The new tower crane and workstation have been installed.
LAND CLEARANCE
Construction work was forced to halt for almost 3 months and before starting again, the whole project area had to be cleared. The excavation truck cleared the higher zone areas and the workers cleared the small spots next to their workstation in the lower zone.
THE MATERIAL IS PREPARED
The material has been delivered on-site and is now ready for use.
NEW WORKSTATION
A new workstation has been constructed in the lower zone in front of building 2. This is an additional workstation where material is prepared before onsite installation.
AN ADDITIONAL TOWER CRANE
A new tower crane has been delivered onsite and installed. Having this extra crane will help with the transfer of material through the whole project area. We now have five cranes.
ROCK WORK ON SEVERAL BUILDINGS
We began the rock on several buildings after surveying the area. We decided that some of the rock at the back of the buildings must be extracted until we achieve a certain level, then we will install the footings on this rock. This is the hardest part of construction.
FOOTING 50% COMPLETE
The footing is 50% complete for this building, and we are continuing to work on the lift base. Right now, we are installing the steel for the lift base structure.
REINFORCEMENT WORK
Workers are continuing with the reinforced steel work for the fourth floor slab of this building. Meanwhile, the post tension sling has already been installed.
PREPARATION FOR THE FIRST FLOOR SLAB
this building is ready to have the first floor slab installed. The scaffold has been in place since last week. Next, the plywood form work will be placed on top. The concrete will be poured and this floor will be finished soon.
SECOND FLOOR SLAB WORK CONTINUES
For this building, we continue to work on the second floor slab. The engineer came to inspected the scaffold under the plywood form work before pouring the concrete. This week, the workers have installed the post tension sling and the second floor slab will be finished soon.
COLUMN WORK
This building is at the column work stage for the third floor. Since we returned to work, we continued to install the scaffold, which will support the fourth floor slab. In the first week of July, we finished the plywood form work and installed the reinforced steel bar for the slab floor structure. Next, the post tension sling will be installed.
BRACING BEAMS
For this building, we have been working on the third level bracing beams. Our workers are currently installing the scaffold to support the beams, which we plan to finish next.
COMPLETED BEAMS
The beams of these two buildings are now complete, and the plywood form work and the supporting scaffold must be
removed. Next, we will continue with column work to support another level of bracing beams.

FURTHER COLUMN WORK
The concrete has been poured for some of the column work. These columns will support the first floor slab of a new building, for which we will start to install the scaffold and the plywood form work.
